Avocado Cream Filled Puff Pastries

AVOCADO CREAM FILLED PUFF PASTRIES

Ingredients

  • 2 Packages of puff pastry shells
  • 4 Chilean hass avocados (Very Ripe)
  • 8 Oz. Fromage blanc
  • 1/2 Tsp. Fresh ground cloves
  • 1/4 Tsp. Ground ginger
  • 1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 Tsp. Maple extract
  • 1/2 Cup Brown sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Chopped dried pear
  • Pinch of salt
  • Confectioners sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Place the puff pastry shells on a baking sheet and par bake for 20 minutes.

While the pastries are in the oven, split the avocados in half discard the pit and transfer the meat to a medium size bowl using a spoon. Add the fromage blanc and mix with a hand mixer until smooth consistency forms. Grind the cloves in a coffee grinder and add to the avocado mixture along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix until incorporated. When pastries are ready take them out of the oven, lower the oven temperature to 350, and immediately cut the tops off the pastries with a serrated knife. Distribute the avocado mix evenly into the pastries and replace the tops. Bake an additional 5 minutes. Cool the pastries on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Top with powdered sugar and serve warm.
